Dr. Geeta Kadayaprath has been associated with Surgical Oncology for the past 30+ years with a special interest in breast cancer. Gained valuable experience in treating a whole range of cancers.
She is actively engaged in performing the entire range of surgeries recommended for breast cancer including modified radical mastectomies, breast conservation surgeries, onco-plastic breast conservation surgeries, mastectomies with immediate reconstruction, sentinel lymph node biopsies and excision of stereotactically localised lesions etc.

Dr. Geeta previously provided Breast Surgical Oncology services at the Max Institute of Cancer Care. She is currently the Principal Lead and Head of Breast Surgical Oncology at the Apollo Athena Women’s Cancer Centre.
She is offering exclusive and comprehensive breast care services in the form of screening, genetic counselling, surgery for both benign and malignant breast disease and exclusive medical oncology and radiation oncology services, complemented extremely well by dedicated breast radiology and pathology services. She is engaged in the entire gambit of surgeries for breast cancer, including mastectomies, breast conservation surgeries, axillary dissections, sentinel lymph node biopsy, Type I and II oncoplastic surgeries, surgeries for impalpable lesions etc
A dedicated Breast Tumour Board to address specific areas of concern in each patient of breast cancer is conducted once every week. During the course of treatment, breast cancer patients are invited to attend Breast Support Group meetings once a month in an attempt to address their problems and to get them to interact with other ladies who have lived through or are currently going through the same experience. Psychological counselling, Physiotherapy and Diet advice are an integral part of this program.

Dr Geeta Kadayaprath has been fortunate to be associated with one of the finest centres in cancer care during her fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, UK. She has gained a lot from her experiences at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and now at Max Institute of Cancer Care and continues to evolve with each passing day. She has been associated as faculty with the Indo-UK Oncoplasty Masterclass at Pune over the last 4 years and has had the opportunity to attend the Oncoplasty Masterclass offered by the European Institute of Oncology, Paris under the tutelage of Dr Krishna Clough.
Dr Geeta would like to dedicate herself to the delivery of comprehensive services for breast cancer patients in a truly multi-disciplinary manner. She would love to engage in teaching and imparting whatever skills she has gained from her mentors over the years to the young surgeons wanting take up breast cancer surgery as their career choice.
She would also like to involve in breast cancer research projects aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality in breast cancer and further international collaboration in such efforts.
