MS (MAMC) MBBS (LHMC)

Dr Geeta Kadayaprath has been actively involved in the field of Surgical Oncology for the past 21 years. She decided very early on to choose Breast cancer as her chosen subspeciality and started pursuing her interest with a lot of zeal.

She realised that this was an area which was not catered to adequately and women did not have the choice of being seen and treated by a lady surgeon. She wanted to offer that choice, an opportunity to reach out to women with breast issues that they found difficult to share with anyone, to deal with these issues diligently and with empathy.

PRESENT ASSIGNMENT

Senior Director and Head, Breast Surgical Oncology,
Max Institute of Cancer Care, Max Super-speciality Hospital, Patparganj, Vaishali, Noida

During the course of treatment, breast cancer patients are invited to attend Breast Support Group meetings once a month in an attempt to address their problems and to get them to interact with other ladies who have lived through or are currently going through the same experience. FUTURE ENDEAVOURS

Dr Geeta Kadayaprath has been fortunate to be associated with one of the finest centres in cancer care during her fellowship at the Royal Marsden Hospital, London, UK. She has gained a lot from her experiences at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and now at Max Institute of Cancer Care and continues to evolve with each passing day. She has been associated as faculty with the Indo-UK Oncoplasty Masterclass at Pune over the last 4 years and has had the opportunity to attend the Oncoplasty Masterclass offered by the European Institute of Oncology, Paris under the tutelage of Dr Krishna Clough.

Dr Geeta would like to dedicate herself to the delivery of comprehensive services for breast cancer patients in a truly multi-disciplinary manner. She would love to engage in teaching and imparting whatever skills she has gained from her mentors over the years to the young surgeons wanting take up breast cancer surgery as their career choice.

She would also like to involve in breast cancer research projects aimed at reducing the morbidity and mortality in breast cancer and further international collaboration in such efforts.
